Sunday Night Lewis Club: LEWIS Live Stream ‘Pilot Episode: REPUTATION’ on Twitch, SUNDAY 1st March’ 2020; 8pm GMT. Watch and Chat.

Hello everyone and welcome to this post and the beginning of our time together watching the Lewis series. I love this series and many of the episodes are some of my favourites in the Morse Universe. Many of the episodes are my ‘comfort’ episodes’ (for a list of my ‘comfort’ episodes click HERE to read my post about them).

I hope many of you will be able to join me tomorrow night, March 1st. Let’s watch and enjoy together.

At last but not least please think about buying my book on the Lewis TV series.

VERY IMPORTANT: For all those outside the UK you should be aware that the UK British Summer Time has ended and we are now on GMT. This means that the clocks went back one hour.

For the USA that means that

8pm in the UK is 3pm in New York.

8pm in the UK is 2pm in Chicago.

8pm in the UK is 1pm in Chicago.

8pm in the UK is midday in California.

8pm in the UK is 11am in Alaska and

8pm in the UK is 10am in Hawaii.

Hope all this helps.

You don’t have to join Twitch to watch but it if you do join (it’s free) it has only the minimal amount of signing up protocol to go through and this will allow you to chat to me and everybody else.

Not only can you enjoy watching the episode but you can chat (via text box) with other Morse fans. Some people who have watched the episodes on the live stream have said that they have not only learned more about the episodes but come to appreciate episodes they had previously disliked.

Please join me and many others to watch this great episode on the social media platform, (one of the biggest in the world) TWITCH and watch the episode on a live stream. Twitch is FREE to join and FREE to watch.

For those not in the know in regard to Twitch, when I write ‘watch and chat’ the chat is via a text window so there is no actual talking over the episode.

To ‘chat’ (this means to type in the chat window that runs alongside the video) you need to register but that is all rather simple. It’s only a matter of choosing a screen name and entering your email address.

So, over the next weeks I am hoping to live stream all 33 of the Lewis episodes on Twitch. Twitch is one of the biggest social media sites in the world which allows people to live stream their various activities.

I am hoping that many of you will be able to join me on Sunday 1st March at 8pm GMT.

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

So, come and join and keep up-to-date with all that happens in the Morse universe.

  1. Dear Chris, my wife and I appreciate your job on this blog very much – as huge fans of everything Morse-related (we are even used to reading Colin Dexter’s novels to each other). We live in Italy (Verona, to be precise… wink wink). Is there any particular requirement to subscribe to your Facebook page as well? Thanks in advance and… keep up the great work!

    1. Hi Paolo. have you had trouble sending a request or answer? You are the fourth person to contact me in this regard. Please try again and I will watch out for your request.

      1. Thanks for your feedback! I tried to join the group a few times, but without success. At the moment, oddly enough, on my mobile the request is still pending approval, while on my pc it has to be made once again. The same problem for my wife Migi. Thanks for what you could do about this.

  2. Hi Chris, I’ve just watched the live stream of the pilot of Lewis. I can’t chat on twitch- I must join!- but I thought a very touching scene was when Lewis was asked if he missed Morse and I think he was so choked up that he couldn’t answer so Hathaway answered for him. There were several others as well. Love the Endeavour award. I’ve come away with a new appreciation for the series which, although I’ve seen all the episodes, always took third place after Morse and Endeavour. And when Lewis asks why couldn’t Morse just say what he means, well, that would have been too mundane for our Morse. 😊

  3. Chris FYI the states Daylight Saving will begin this Sunday, March 8th, which will impact the start time for your viewers in USA (but not Hawaii as Hawaii does not observe Daylight Saving). When you send out your usual notice, you should research the new start times. Also, there’s a typo – you list Chicago (Central time zone) twice, I think you mean to list the Mountain time zone, which is Texas/Colorado, etc. Watching “Soul of Genius” on ITV now – one of my favorites!
