Sunday Night Morse Club: Live Stream ‘THE WAY THROUGH THE WOODS’ on Twitch, SUNDAY 27TH OCTOBER; 8pm BST. Watch and Chat.

Hello everyone. I hope you are well. Unfortunately i’m not. I have a cold which is not helpful when you have to work on five essays. For those reasons I will not be broadcasting the next episode of the Morse series this Sunday.

So, the episode The Way Through the Woods will be streamed on the 27th October. Now, like me I know that this episode is a Morsonian favourite for many people so I will not only live stream the episode on the Sunday but also on Wednesday 30th October. This will allow those who cannot attend the Sunday showing to get a chance to watch one of the iconic episodes of the Morse series as part of the Twitch Club. I will broadcast the episode at 8pm BST on the Wednesday.

This episode was Russell Lewis’s first connection to the Morse Universe. Russell as we all know went on to create and write the Endeavour series. He also wrote four screenplays and one story for the Lewis series.

This episode also has the iconic status of introducing the lovely Clare Holman as Laura Hobson.

Look forward to watching this fantastic episode with you next Sunday, 27th October. Take care everyone and remember don’t come to the Sunday Night Morse Club to see the bouncy castle 😉

You don’t have to join Twitch to watch but it if you do join (it’s free) it has only the minimal amount of signing up protocol to go through and this will allow you to chat to me and everybody else.

Not only can you enjoy watching the episode but you can chat (via text box) with other Morse fans. Some people who have watched the episodes on the live stream have said that they have not only learned more about the episodes but come to appreciate episodes they had previously disliked.

Please join me and many others to watch this great episode on the social media platform, (one of the biggest in the world) TWITCH and watch the episode on a live stream. Twitch is FREE to join and FREE to watch.

For those not in the know in regard to Twitch, when I write ‘watch and chat’ the chat is via a text window so there is no actual talking over the episode.

To ‘chat’ (this means to type in the chat window that runs alongside the video) you need to register but that is all rather simple. It’s only a matter of choosing a screen name and entering your email address.

So, over the next weeks I am hoping to live stream all 33 of the Morse episodes on Twitch. Twitch is one of the biggest social media sites in the world which allows people to live stream their various activities.

I am hoping that many of you will be able to join me on Sunday 27th October at 8pm BST. That is around Midday Pacific Time and around 3pm Eastern Daylight Time.

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

  1. Dear Chris,
Sorry to trouble you! I cannot find your Jag Rating for ‘The Way Through The Woods’ – or your helpful review.
    Kindest regards,
    Helen Welch

  2. I did not always find it easy to follow, but l loved how Lewis thought Morse might be a second rate detective until he worked with another.
The biggest weakness in this episode is when Lewis tells a ‘murderer’ you are the killer…..really. Surely he would be trained not to act like that without back up. This episode ensures Lewis developed from his rash and brash mind set into a more reasoned, analytical person, who comes to respect Morse for his intelligence, doggedness and determination.
