Crossword Puzzle for Morse fans.

On the Facebook page, Endeavour: The Inspector Morse Appreciation Society, (click here to visit said page) Julia Taylor wrote in passing that I should “set clues for the readers to discover some of your answers”. What I have done is not exactly what Julia meant but I thought it might be fun to set a crossword where all the clues are related to either the Morse, Lewis or Endeavour series of programmes.

Now the one I have set is not your proper crossword but I thought I would do one quickly to gauge reaction. I used an online program to set out the crossword but all the clues are my own work. I hope you all enjoy and feel free to print off the crossword to complete at your leisure. You should be able to right click on the crossword and choose the save or print or save as option. Or optionally just write the answers down while you read the clues online.

I’m contemplating uploading a crossword once a fortnight. The answers to the puzzle below will appear next Tuesday, 1st March.  Have fun.

Update. I forgot to point out a couple of things; firstly 14 down is two words 3 and 6 letters. Secondly, 17 across is 3,6,4 letters. I’ve also just noticed that the program put in a space between the words in 17 across and 14 down. I didn’t realise the program did that. I will remember next time, I hope. Sorry about that.

Morse Crossword

Author: Chris Sullivan

After having looked after my mum for some 11 years she is now unfortunately in a nursing home. I'm afraid her dementia worsened as did her physical capabilities. So, for the first time in 21 years I find myself no longer caring for anyone. Apart from my mum I was also a single parent to two children and also looked after my dad who had Alzheimers, (he died in 2005). So, I have decided to return to University to try and get another degree this time in English Literature. (My other degree I got some 30 years ago is one in Ecological Science. Firstly I have to complete an intensive year at college which starts at the end of August 2018. If I pass the college year I will then be able to go straight into Edinburgh University. A busy time ahead made even busier by my writing a book on the TV series, Lewis.

    1. Thank you Lisa, I do have them occasionally but they are becoming less frequent. 😉 I hope you have a go at the crossword. Terrible of me but I can’t remember if you are a Morse fan.
