This is part one of, I admit, very indulgent set of posts on my favourite Inspector Morse episodes with favourite scenes from those episodes. Due to copyright issues with ITV, which has put my Youtube channel under restrictions, I can’t for the moment upload anything longer than 15 minutes. Hence having to break this video post idea into small chunks.
I also can’t be sure if the video below will be allowed to stay up on Youtube as ITV have also now attempted to block it. I have disputed the block with Youtube under the fair usage policy and so for the moment the video will be allowed to stay up on Youtube. Understandably, due to the amount of work involved in creating these videos I am not going to be putting up part two of this series of posts until I am sure ITV will allow me to use them on Youtube. I will of course keep everyone informed.

Hi Chris – As some of the YouTube vids have been deleted, what were your top 10 Morse episodes in 2015? Does your selection and order of preference remain the same in 2023?

Lists are a funny old thing. Chris, some of yours are also in my Top 10, but a few (Day of the Devil, Death of the Self, Death is Now My Neighbour) are near the bottom. I am genuinely stunned there is no place for ‘Second Time Around’ though. I’ve long held this up as Morse at its finest. Dark, intense, British crime drama at its best
