Another connection to the Morse Universe in the fifth and sixth episode of the Dalgliesh series. Nancy Carroll stars as Alice Mayer in Dalgliesh, pic on the right and starred as Anne Rand in the Lewis episode The Indelible Stain (the one with David Soul).

The red bearded actor in the Sherlock Holmes clip is Malcolm Storry who plays Inspector Gregory. Malcolm Storey played DCI Martin Johnson in the Morse episode, The Way Through the Woods.

This plaque is on the wall of 1 Brewer Street. The famous crime writer Dorothy Leigh Sayers (1893–1957) was born here at the Head Master’s House of Christ Church Cathedral School, where her father, the Revd Henry Sayers, was headmaster.

I have just returned from Oxford (May 2025) and while there I did a lot of recording. Here is one of those recordings. It is the location where Lewis and Hobson talk and hug. The Old Stone Bridge near Iffley Lock.
