Sadly, another star of the Morse Universe has passed away, James Laurenson ((17 February 1940 – 18 April 2024). James starred in the first Morse series episode, The Dead of Jericho as Tony Richards and as Professor George Amory in the Endeavour episode, Game (Series 4, Episode 1).

James Laurenson had a prolific career that spanned over 59 years. For Morse fans he will be forever remembered as the duplicitous Tony Richards  who almost outsmarted Morse and Lewis. In the Endeavour episode, Game, he played the fatherly Professor George Amory who helped to create a computer that could possibly beat Grandmasters.

Thank you James for making the Morse Universe a much better place. Our thoughts go out to James Laurenson’s friends and family at this difficult time.

The video below includes all of his scenes in the Dead of Jericho and Game episodes.

Up first James Laurenson in the Morse episode, The Dead of Jericho.

Next James in the Endeavour episode, Game.

R.I.P James Laurenson

Up until a few years ago I was my mum's full time carer. She died in, 2020, of Covid. At the moment I am attempting to write a novel.
