  1. Last night I watched “The Way through the Woods.” Morse at his most obnoxious . Lewis tells him just how obnoxious he is. It was high time someone did.

    1. Hello Patricia. The scene when Lewis loses his temper is one of the best in the Morse series.

  2. Hi Chris, I am so sorry to find out that we were in Oxford at the same time!! I was there attending a course on Jane Austen at Merton College ( whose porters lodge was the stand in for Lonsdale in Endeavor!!
I took a great Morse guided tour and the guide (Elizabeth Hudson-Evan’s)said she knew you…so I was absolutely thinking of you that week ( as well as Morse Universe , haha)
I didn’t get to any pubs except the Turf tavern…but I sure would have enjoyed raising a glass with you!
    All the best,
    Meredith

    1. Hello Meredith. What a shame we didn’t get a chance to meet up. A course on Jane Austen! Now that’s my kind of course. I hope it was enjoyable. I actually had hoped to take the Morse guided tour but it was fully booked.

  3. This made me wonder which Austen character, if any, Morse resembles. I thought Mr Price for the excessive drinking of screen Endeavour, and a little of Anne Elliot for the faithfulness (in one sense) to a first love.
