Hello America and welcome to this review of the second episode of the final series.
Before I continue, in case you didn’t know, I have written a book on the Endeavour series. It has a colour (color) version, a B&W version and lastly a kindle version.
The book is only available from Amazon and can be purchased on Amazon.com. Click HERE to visit the Amazon page.
The link below is my review of the episode UNIFORM. My review of course includes information on locations, music (though some music may be different to what was used in the US and Australia due to copyright), literary references and much, much more.
If anyone is aware of any scenes missing from the US broadcast that were in the UK version please let me know and I will create a post with the missing scenes.
I hope you enjoy the review and feel free to comment on what you agree and disagree with in my review.
Enjoy.
I hope this post finds you all well, mentally as well as physically.

Thank you.
I loved both new episodes and I have already watched the first one twice. I’ve been to Oxford with my daughter and mother years and years ago now and this series brings back great memories. Chris, thanks for all that you do and thanks a million for a copy of your new book on Endeavor it is a home run. Judy, NM, USA 🇺🇸
You’re very welcome, Judy. I’m glad you are enjoying my new book.
Chris, What is the difference between the original UK upload and the US reupload of Endeavour reviews?
Nothing at all. I reupload as I know many American subscribers don’t read my review before watching the episodes. My reupload is simply a gentle reminder to read my review.
Chris, great review of “Uniform”! One point I’d like to mention is the writer’s over use (rip-off) of the Clockwork Orange themes attributed to the Debonaires gang. The application of eye-shadow, the costumes, the swagger, the malevolent behavior, the smug overconfidence by this gang’s members in this episode was, in my opinion, a poor choice on the part of the writer.
Something that stands out in my memory about the Clockwork Orange movie was that I first saw it in Amsterdam while on a trip to Holland with my parents in 1971 when I was 16 years old. The movie had the original English language soundtrack, with the exception of the gang’s youth violent-speak, semi Russian slang. The movie did have Dutch subtitles. So when the gang members in the movie said something funny, I didn’t understand it, but the Dutch audience laughed because the subtitles weren’t in the jargon. It wasn’t until I read the book, with it’s glossary of slang terms, did I understand what was being said. Anyways, keep up the good work! Rael, Chicago, USA.
