What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

After having looked after my mum for some 11 years she is now unfortunately in a nursing home. I'm afraid her dementia worsened as did her physical capabilities. UPDATE: My mum died from Covid-19 on the 6th May 2020. So, for the first time in 21 years I find myself no longer caring for anyone. Apart from my mum I was also a single parent to two children and also looked after my dad who had Alzheimers, (he died in 2005). So, I have decided to return to University to try and get another degree this time in English Literature. (My other degree I got some 30 years ago is one in Ecological Science). After a year at college I have passed all grades and now will start Edinburgh University in September 2019. I am now in second year having passed all the requirements in first year.

  1. This is a really good opportunity to thank you for the Lewis book (again). I bought the kindle version and keep it close to hand on my phone. This is really necessary now as we are re-watching Lewis on Amazon Prime (under Masterpiece) and while they have the seasons and the numbers of the episodes matching the video, their descriptions are WAY OFF so I have to check your book to make sure what we are going to watch! For instance, last night we watched Season 6 Episode 3 Ramblin’ Boy. The description said: “Lewis believes a subversive media blog holds the clues to a violent murder… despite Dr. Hobson’s opinion that the victim’s death was a suicide.” Without your book I would be really really confused.

    1. Thank you so much Barbara for your kind comment. Thank you for buying my book and i’m so happy you are enjoying it.

  2. I agree with Barbara. Chris’ book is indispensable. I keep referring back to it, even though I’ve been all the way through it several times.
Really enjoyed this interview with Kevin and Laurence. Thanks again, Chris!!
