Sunday Night Lewis Club: Live Stream of THE POINT OF VANISHING on Twitch, SUNDAY 14TH JUNE 2020; 8pm BST. Watch and Chat.

Hello everyone. I hope this post finds everyone in good health.

The Point of Vanishing is the third episode of the third series and is a cracker. For those who haven’t seen the episode you are in a for a treat. At least there is no dramatic, life changing subplots in this one.

I hope to see many of you there. Bring your favourite drink and snack.

After spending 18 months watching and re watching the Lewis series for my book I still love this series and many of the episodes are some of my favourites in the Morse Universe. Many of the episodes are my ‘comfort’ episodes’ (for a list of my ‘comfort’ episodes click HERE to read my post about them).

And last but not least please think about buying my book on the Lewis TV series. It is available in paperback and a Kindle version on Amazon..

You don’t have to join Twitch to watch but if you do join (it’s free) it has only the minimal amount of signing up protocol to go through and this will allow you to chat to me and everybody else.

Not only can you enjoy watching the episode but you can chat (via text box) with other Lewis fans. Some people who have watched the episodes on the live stream have said that they have not only learned more about the episodes but come to appreciate episodes they had previously disliked.

Please join me and many others to watch this great episode on the social media platform, (one of the biggest in the world) TWITCH and watch the episode on a live stream. Twitch is FREE to join and FREE to watch.

For those not in the know in regard to Twitch, when I write ‘watch and chat’ the chat is via a text window so there is no actual talking over the episode.

To ‘chat’ (this means to type in the chat window that runs alongside the video) you need to register but that is all rather simple. It’s only a matter of choosing a screen name and entering your email address.

So, over the next weeks I am hoping to live stream all 33 of the Lewis episodes on Twitch. Twitch is one of the biggest social media sites in the world which allows people to live stream their various activities.

I’m hoping that many of you will be able to join me on Sunday 14th June 2020 at 8pm BST.

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

  1. I really don’t understand the uk time information given here. BRITISH SUMMER TIME Is from April when clocks go forward one hour into summer. At end iof October goes back one hour into winter. I have lived in UK 🇬🇧 all my life and its always been like that!!

    1. Hi Marco. Sorry, I hadn’t updated the info in regard to BST and GMT. It’s now been corrected.

  2. There appears to be a member of the cast standing between Lewis and Hathaway in the Ashmolean Museum, who I didn’t spot before, when I last watched this great episode!
Now, where have I seen him before, I am sure there is some sort of connection to the Morse universe!
I wonder what role he played in “The Point of Vanishing”, maybe he was the murderer or the accomplice, but then again I just can’t quite remember, whether he was even on the list of possible suspects!
Perhaps I need to see this episode again, and all will be revealed!

  3. Just a little humour Chris, I hope you don’t mind. During these difficult times, that we are all enduring, I just couldn’t resist a bit of amusement. Thank you, and goodbye for now.

  4. I’ve remembered who it is now, it’s DC. Sullivan. It was always a mystery why he never gained promotion, and then he was unceremoniously transferred, and replaced by DS. Lizzie Maddox!

    1. Yes D.C. Sullivan was treated badly. I think Lewis and Hathaway were jealous of his clean up rate.

  5. Hello from Italy, and thank you as always for doing this, Chris!
Unfortunately my schedule is changed and I have to get up insanely early on Monday mornings now… which is why I haven’t been “in attendance” lately. We always end at nearly 11 PM my time, and it’s just too late for me.
Here’s hoping that at some point my schedule might change back and enable me to join you again! Hello to everyone

  6. That’s a good response Chris, and it has made me chuckle. Glad you enjoyed my little bit of fun. Incidentally, DC. Sullivan has written a book, that came out this year, all about his time working with Lewis and Hathaway. It portrays what a good chap he is, by not showing any sign of malice or bitterness, about the way he was treated, and he has named the book after his old boss, Lewis!

  7. I certainly concur with that, it is a very interesting book. In the end though, I believe, D.C. Sullivan had the last laugh on Lewis and Hathaway. As I have heard rumours, that after they moved D.C. Sullivan on, Lewis and Hathaway only worked together for two more years, in 2014 and 2015. I reckon, they sorely missed his loyal and astute detective work, and they must have come to deeply regret, transferring him, far too soon!

  8. I am confused about what Tom Rattenbury knows – he says to Cile – The Postcard! and she says Not Now. Does he know about Jessica’s romance? Does he suspect Cile’s involvement in the murders? Perhaps he does but feels he is responsible for what happened to Jessica and therefore all that ensues.
