Sunday Night Morse Club: Live Stream ‘The Daughters of Cain’ on Twitch, SUNDAY 10th Nov’ 2019; 8pm GMT. Watch and Chat.

Hello fellow Morsonians and welcome to a new post.

So, here we are at the second of five one off specials that culminate in the end of the Morse series. The episode is Daughters of Cain.

VERY IMPORTANT: For all those outside the UK you should be aware that the UK British Summer Time has ended and we are now on GMT. This means that the clocks went back one hour.

For the USA that means that

8pm in the UK is 3pm in New York.

8pm in the UK is 2pm in Chicago.

8pm in the UK is 1pm in Chicago.

8pm in the UK is midday in California.

8pm in the UK is 11am in Alaska and

8pm in the UK is 10am in Hawaii.

New York = five hours behind the UK
Chicago = six hours behind the UK
Denver = seven hours behind the UK
California = eight hours behind the UK
Alaska = nine hours behind the UK
Hawaii = ten hours behind the UK

Hope all this helps.

Looking forward to seeing many of you tonight to watch this great episode.

You don’t have to join Twitch to watch but it if you do join (it’s free) it has only the minimal amount of signing up protocol to go through and this will allow you to chat to me and everybody else.

Not only can you enjoy watching the episode but you can chat (via text box) with other Morse fans. Some people who have watched the episodes on the live stream have said that they have not only learned more about the episodes but come to appreciate episodes they had previously disliked.

Please join me and many others to watch this great episode on the social media platform, (one of the biggest in the world) TWITCH and watch the episode on a live stream. Twitch is FREE to join and FREE to watch.

For those not in the know in regard to Twitch, when I write ‘watch and chat’ the chat is via a text window so there is no actual talking over the episode.

To ‘chat’ (this means to type in the chat window that runs alongside the video) you need to register but that is all rather simple. It’s only a matter of choosing a screen name and entering your email address.

So, over the next weeks I am hoping to live stream all 33 of the Morse episodes on Twitch. Twitch is one of the biggest social media sites in the world which allows people to live stream their various activities.

I am hoping that many of you will be able to join me on Sunday 10th November at 8pm GMT.

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

So, come and join and keep up-to-date with all that happens in the Morse universe.

  1. Ooh great Chris, thanks! I’m on a training course this week and currently on a train listening to a shuffle of the MorseLewisEndeavour soundtracks so definitely in the mood for some Morse. The SNMC will be a nice way of spending a couple of hours in a hotel this evening 🤗

  2. Hi Chris Sullivan

It is nice that you give all those times in different parts of the world. I think it is not necessary. A lot of people either use their smartphone or their Windows 10 (or later) computer. On both there are apps you can use to find the time and in that app is a section called world clock. In the WorldClock you find most of the big cities in the world with their time. And you can type in less known places and the app finds you the time in that place.
Also you can type in Google “what is the time in “Place country” ” and if you type that and the desired place you can join a website where they give you the actual time any place or country you want to know. Even summer or winter time is mentioned. I think a lot of people would find it easily by themselves.

In my daily life I give instructions to people above 50 about the use of smartphones and computers, laptop and the software.

Thanks by the way for all your information; it has helped me a lot in appreciating Morse, Lewis and Endeavour more.

  3. Hi Chris, I did watch Daughters of Cain on Twitch but could not comment since I had trouble getting an account. I did enjoy everyone else’s chats. But I did want to say this is one of my favorite episodes.I think the crime is a perfect one and I love the “clever, cleverer, cleverest” line. I also think the cake line from Morse and Mrs. Brooks tearfully asking to keep her hankies are two of the funnest lines. I have all the Morse episodes on DVD and I never saw anything out of line with the boat scene. I thought Kay’s answer to Morse when he tells her you can’t put the past behind you and she says, “So it seems” was perfect and very telling.
I didn’t have trouble following the plot – Ted killed Felix, Julia killed Ted with Kay’s help and Kay drove the car with the help of the Kevin the student. I did have to watch the episode a few times to understand how the knife in the museum fit in but I finally got it. I thought all the women actors were fantastic, as was the storyline. He was such a horrid man that I think Morse fully sympathized with Brenda and, being a clever man himself, admired Julia’s planning and execution of the murder. But I do think he was right about the evidence. I’m going to try to figure out what I did wrong with creating a twitch account. I’m not too swift with those things. I’d much rather interpret Shakespeare!

    1. Hi Kathleen. Are you trying to log in on a PC, tablet or phone. Not being able to setup an account may be due to the media settings. I would clear the cache first on whatever internet search engine you are using. Then, check that your firewall settings and security settings to see if they are blocking Twitch. Hope that helps. Good luck. Hopefully I will see you in two weeks time on Twitch.
