Hello everyone and welcome to a new post and video.
The Dead of Jericho was the first Morse episode and was broadcast in the UK on the 6th January 1987. I thought it would be fun and interesting to have a look at how old the episode participants were when the episode was first broadcast.
Unfortunately quite a few of the cast have since died and I have included the date of their deaths. John Thaw was only 45 when the episode was broadcast but looks a little older. This may be because of his heavy smoking.
I hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane. On a personal note I was 26 when the episode was broadcast in January 1987.

Chris, Since you were only 26 when the first Morse was broadcast, I meant to ask you when did you became such a fervent Morse fan that you decided to create the Morse/Lewis/Endeavour Universe?
After watching Morse episodes many times, I now can spot so many, previously unknown to me, British actors in other British TV shows I found or bought that I can play my own Morse game – call out “Morse” whenever I see one and try to name the episode and part they played before my friends watching with me do. I’ve gotten a few of them hooked on Morse and Endeavour!
Hi Kathleen. I read and became a fan when I read my first Colin Dexter novel when I was 20 in 1980. I started this website about five years ago. Well done in creating new Morse fans. The more the merrier.
