Hello from Oxford

Hi everyone and hello from from a rather wet Oxford.

I decided, with a little financial help from my kids, to celebrate my birthday this coming Thursday, 11th April, in Oxford.

College has broken up for Easter for two weeks which is glorious in itself. While in Oxford I will take as many photos and videos as possible.

If there is any place in Oxford where you would like me to photograph or video let me know and I will do my best to visit that place. I am here until next Monday, 15th April.

This will mean that there will be no live Twitch stream this Sunday. The next one will be on Sunday 21st April at the new time of 8pm GMT. The episode will be Last Seen Wearing.

Here is a couple of little things I videoed and photographed after I arrived yesterday.

Up until a few years ago I was my mum's full time carer. She died in, 2020, of Covid. At the moment I am attempting to write a novel.

  1. Amazing Chris!! Thanks for your kind offer….I was wondering, what about Morses’s Endeavour’s Home? Would it be any chance to take some photos?? Enjoy your Birthday!!

    1. If you are referring to the new home he enters at the end of the last episode, Deguello, I’m afriad only those working on the show know where that house is located.

  2. I’ve always been fascinated with The Bodleian Library. If you are near the area I’d love to see photos of it.

  3. Hello Chris, I hope you have great birthday next Thursday and enjoy your stay in Oxford this week!

Ps, I know the Morse bar in the Randolph has been refurbished, i have been there in January.

  4. I think that renovating that historic pub is very sad. Putting such effort into preserving historical places has always been what I loved about Europe. Quite different in the US where we don’t seem to value any of our history, good or bad, even to the point of revising it.
