Hello everyone and welcome to a new post. I’m afraid it’s not the most exciting post but it is the best I can do at the moment with the time I have available. College is going well and so far I have passed all my assignments.

I hope you are all well. Take care.

Up until a few years ago I was my mum's full time carer. She died in, 2020, of Covid. At the moment I am attempting to write a novel.

  1. That was very interesting, Chris, thank you.

It’s good to know that your studies are going well.

  2. Fascinating to see how an actor’s age and appearance can be so altered by the clothes they wear and hairstyles etc.

  3. So glad to have news about yourself. Sadly because your Mum, but sometimes life is hard and we need to take new thoughts in orde to imporve ourselves. excellent decision going back to Cllege. All the bes for you…

  4. OK now we know there ages- Dakota Blue is really young- I imagine she wants to go on in many more parts and other opportunities. Good Luck to her ;o)

  5. Chris, I have many DVDs in my collection in which I’ve inserted a slip of paper with the ages of the actors at the time the film was made. It can be very interesting to note that Dean Jagger, as the “old man” general in White Christmas, is actually just a year older than Bing Crosby, and Rosemary Clooney, as older sister Betty, is two years younger than baby sister Judy, played by Vera Ellen. In the case of Endeavour, everyone seems to be just about right, with the exception of Sean Evans – or would 38 be right for Morse at this point in time? (Noting that Sean E does not “read” 38. I’d have guessed 30.)

  6. Hi from Australia. Tired of reruns although many are pretty good. Really like Endeavour. We have not yet been shown series 6.
Could never get into Morse and Lewis is dated.
Do you get Foyles War? No longer made – pity. I do like English cop shows.
Been hot here and I’m sure youve read about our bushfires and now floods.

    1. Hi John. The Australian fires has been horrific. I hope you escaped any problems because of it. We do get Foyle’s War but that series finished, sadly, some years ago. Is it worth your while buying the UK DVD version of the sixth series. Worthwhile if you have a multi regional DVD player.

  7. Foyle’s war was on either amazon or Netflix in the US ,and forgive me but since I subscribe to both I can’t remember which is on what, but I loved the series. No longer on either one but I do now subscribe to britbox so I may find it there. That’s a series, like morse and endeavor, I will watch agai and again. I do have a multi regional DVD player so I have all the morse and all the endeavour series. And if I can, I would order Foyle’s War.
My heart breaks for the animals, the people, and the land in Australia. A catastrophe beyond words for all.
