I adored this episode, the best for this season so far…..we got to see Morse smile while in HIS SHEETS….what could be better…will never happen again ….
I watched this one again last night. It *is* hokey and absurdly melodramatic, but well-acted, and the final scene between Sam and Fred gets me every time. Actor Jack Bannon looks so much older in PENNYWORTH, where he comes off as a young Fred Thursday. The series itself is way over-the-top, but Bannon oozes charisma.
I haven’t watched Pennyworth as yet as I can’t get access to it via Netflix or Prime.
