Oh No…I like things the way they are. I’m not sure I’m going to like the changes to come with Thursday (love him) and super cutie Shawn (love him too) and their relationship. Thankfully I have all 4 seasons so I can re-watch from the beginning!
I’m not sure about this, but I think there’s an issue in that the “guv’nor” Morse reminisced about in the original series…wasn’t Thursday. So how are they going to fit this other guy in? They’ll have to lose Thursday to do so. But, like I said, I’m unsure about that, having only watched the “Morse” episodes back when they first came out, and erratically at that.
Thursday is a character created by Russell Lewis, the writer and creator of the Endeavour, and was never part of the original Morse series or Colin Dexter’s books. The character you are thinking about is McNutt who we meet in the Morse episode Masonic Mysteries. I hope that helps.
