Oxford: Endeavour and Lewis Location Filming 27th April 2018.

Hi and welcome to my new post. Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kind and lovely comments on the subject of my last post about Colin Dexter’s Memorial Service.

It was wonderful while in Oxford to meet other Morse fans who frequent my blog.

The day after I had attended the Colin Dexter Memorial Service was to be my last day in Oxford. My train was not due to leave until 3:15pm so I decided to do some filming of a few locations used in the Endeavour series. The weather wasn’t conducive to filming but thankfully the rain was of the light variety.

Though I use a few clips from the fifth series there is nothing that could be called spoilers.

The video is around 30 minutes in length.I hope you enjoy the video. Take care.

  1. Thank you Chris for taking us along. I think Grove Walk was also a location for a murder in Lewis. Can’t remember the title but a girl was running and was murdered by somebody bumping into her with Robbie and Hathaway in pursuit.

    1. Hi Tom and i’m glad you enjoyed the video. The Lewis episode you write of is Down Among the Fearful.

  2. Thank you for this leisurely stroll around beautiful, history-haunted Oxford. I was privileged to visit Oxford in the 1980s, but that was before the Morse films were released here in the US. Now I think I would be looking for him or Lewis or Endeavour around every corner. It was a pure pleasure to listen to your comments. Thank you for another wonderful post.

  3. I have to wait to watch your posts till I can watch in one sitting- This is the first of 3 book marked- when you post them I pass them on- give a quick glance & bookmark for later– This was enjoyable- I have little speakers contented to the computer that produces good volume- the integrated volume stopped working long time ago- so I could hear all well except the inside ones.

  4. Thank you Chris for the movie and report of your stay in Oxford!
Your reports have been a great help every time i have been in Oxford.
Great news about Laurence Fox, hopefully we hear more about this soon.
