Hello Morsonians and welcome to a new post. A seemingly very short post but filled with joy.
As many of you will know I have a Youtube channel that is used to upload videos that I can use here on my blog. I also use my Youtube channel create playlists. A few weeks ago I wrote a post on how to access my playlists for those not au fait with the workings of Youtube. To read that post click here.
I have created a new playlist that incorporates all the classical music used in all the four series of Endeavour. There are a few pieces that are used more than once but where I have made a note on the playlist piece of music I have mentioned only where it was heard first. If you click HERE that should take you directly to the Endeavour playlist.
There is an option to ‘play all’ which you will see below the title of the playlist on Youtube. Click on that, sit back, do the ironing, read a book, relax and let all the wonderful music wash over you, cleansing you of all your negative thoughts.

What a treasure! Thank you so much again for your time, love, & expertise you’ve put into making this amazing compilation! It’s absolutely fascinating for me that there’re some pieces I didn’t know they’re employed because I, as a late comer, watched earlier seasons of ENDEAVOUR only via the DVDs! It was only few months ago that I found out Rachmaninoff Concerto was replaced by Grieg one in HOME on the DVDs; so was a Sanctus by Fauré’s in NEVERLAND. Now I have another reason to re-watch the series to figure out what else I’ve been missing out music-wise!

IIRC the Ponchielli aria from _La gioconda_ isn’t heard in _Endeavour_, the correct aria being Lucia’s “Ardon gl’incensi” from Donizetti’s _Lucia di Lammermoor_. Also missing from the playlist are Elvira’s “Qui la voce” from Bellini’s _I puritani_, Abigaille’s aria “Anch’io dischiuso un giorno” from Verdi’s _Nabucco_, and “Libiamo” from Verdi’s _La traviata_.

This is absolutely wonderful . I think that the Nunc Ditmittis in “Neverland” however is by Purcell. The one you posted is from someone else. Am I wrong? I’m not sure.

Great work! The only miss I could spot is “E lucevan le stelle” from “Tosca” which is featured in one scene of “Fugue” (though in an instrumental version).

Thanks for curating all this! – some of the tracks on YouTube have been deleted, presumably because of copyright issues – however when a youtube track is deleted from a playlist, as I have found with my own playlists, there is no easy way to tell what that track once was. Would it be possible to post the list of tracks so we can hunt them down ourselves? Also, series 5 has just started as I’m sure you are aware…

This is great. I love classical music and listening to your play list is going to be pure joy. Now all we have to do is wait and see what that dang Wednesday sandwich is gonna be. You should blog about that and take suggestions.
The music playing during the car wreck from S04E01 gave me chills.
A pleasant little musical oddity I just discovered:
I went to the general “Endeavour” page here and then clicked through to the “Quartet” episode page. The tabs for both stayed open on my browser, and the music Christ loaded on them each as medlies (for lack of a better word) automatically started playing for both. This means the piece from the Faure requiem played at the same time as what I think is the Mozart requiem, juxtaposed one on top of they other…and they sounded FANTASTIC together! I never would have thought it, and it’s an interesting way to listen to classical music.
I am searching for classical music played in Series 2, ep 1, ‘Trove’. Was it Brahams?
