Hello my fellow Morsonians and welcome to this rather short but hopefully informative post.
I thought I would let all my blog readers know what I am planning for future posts on my blog. Some of the planned posts are rather large in scale but I think they are not only worthwhile but that many of you will find them not only interesting but may add to your enjoyment of the Morse, Lewis and Endeavour series.
- Murders and methods in the Lewis and Endeavour series. This will take the same form that I carried out in my post about the murders and methods in the Morse series. Click HERE to read said post.
- Naming all the music used in all the Morse, Lewis and Endeavour series.
- Naming all the art shown in all three series.
- Naming all the poetry mentioned in all three series.
- A video of all Jean Innocent’s (Rebecca Front) best scenes.
- Cameos of Barrington Pheloung.
- A ‘Where are they now’ series of posts. This will involve looking at all the actors in all the episodes of the Morse series and what they are doing (or not doing due to things like death) in the present time.
As you can imagine many of these planned posts will take a lot of work and time to collate but hopefully you will all find it worthwhile.
Of course, if any of my readers have an idea for a post please let me know and if you yourself want to write a guest post on my blog please write to me via the ‘contact me’ option at the top of the page.

I am very new to your blog and want to thank you for all that you have done so far. Keeping in mind the part about “new to your blog”, I still have loads to read of your work to date and I love it!
Is it possible that Oxford has one or more colleges that might invite you to present Doctoral level presentations on all things Morsonian? Or, has this already become part of their Modern Literature / Drama / Music / Film (etc) curriculum?
Morse, Lewis, and Endeavor have provided more generous public relations and free advertising of Oxford via ITV, Masterpiece Theater, and Public Television than any other organizations in the past several centuries. I cannot think of anything to which we (Americans) may compare programming in terms of global marketing strategy for placing a 1000+ year old city and its schools of higher education before most of Earth’s 195 countries. Well, 196, if we count Taiwan.
Three decades, three excellent series, and many hundreds of the best British actors with a few Americans included for spice has been a continuing blessing to countless many individuals, couple, families, and friends.
I found your blog referenced on Inspector Lewis’ IMDb board a couple weeks ago. Your list is most intriguing and exciting.

Hi Sherri. Thank you so much for the lovely and kind comment. If any Oxford college wishes to invite me to talk on Morse I would be more than willing. 🙂 You are so right regarding Oxford’s need to appreciate Morse’s ongoing publicity around the world for its wonderful city.

I’m so excited!! This is absolutely great. My two suggestions would be: literary references in all the shows; and connections with Morse that come up in Lewis and Endeavour. I’ve actually written out a couple pages on two episodes that I can email to you if you ever decide to do the connections idea. I’m just very happy you do all this work and share it.
Thanks Nan, I hope I can make a good job of it. The literary references is a good idea I will also put that on my to do list. Regarding connections, I have already done this and it can all be found under the Endeavour section at the top of the page. It is split over 12 parts.
I wasn’t clear, sorry. What I should have said was references to Morse, the man, in Lewis? For example, I’ve just been watching Old School Ties, and the bouncer, who was arrested by Morse and Lewis years ago, speaks of him.

I can’t believe this. I’m looking forward to all of your offerings, particularly item number two. All these years I’ve wanted to ask someone about the prerecorded music in the Morse and Endeavor series. The credits go by so fast that sometimes the only clue I can get is from the dialog. One I particularly fell in love with was the opening scenes of Morse “Dead On Time.” After watching it several times, I realized Morse said he was taking his lady friend to hear her favorite composer, Schubert. I recognized the piece was an adagio, went online and found Schubert’s Quintet in C Major, Op. 163. Bingo! You’re making a dream of mine come true. Thank you!
Hi Sue. The music is very rarely if ever actually mentioned at the end of an episode which is a shame. I hope you enjoy the future posts and also enjoy the music from each episode.
