Hello everyone and welcome to a new post. Today is a video post as part of my occasional series about an Oxford location and it’s place in the Morse Universe.
Today’s video is on Broad Street, Oxford one of Oxford’s main thoroughfares. I filmed this particular video in May, 2025. I have, of course, incorporated scenes from Morse, Lewis and Endeavour. Very few scenes from Morse and Endeavour but many, many scenes from the Lewis series. I didn’t include all scenes from the three series as this would have overwhelmed the video.
I hope you enjoy the video. If you do, please leave a like either here below on this website or on my Youtube channel. Enjoy.
I hope you enjoyed the above photos and videos. Until next time take care; not just physically but mentally as well.
Please consider buying my comprehensive 600 page book on the Endeavour series. https://shorturl.at/7E5Hf
Please leave a like at the bottom of the page and if you haven’t already please subscribe to this website.
Please think about supporting my work by becoming a Patreon for as little as £5 a week. That’s cheaper than a magazine subscription.

Its place – not it’s place.
But apart from that the video which I spent many hours on is ok?
The video is fine, Chris, but don’t object to being told about a mistake. Nobody wants to be a nit-picker or pedant, but I have told you several times about “its” and “it’s”. If you corrected your mistakes, it could only improve the reader’s enjoyment of your excellent blogs.
True, Bert. But, after a stressful day and many hours spent on the video, it’s difficult to take. If someone points out a mistake, they could at least write, ‘Great video, but did you notice…’
I’m probably being overly sensitive.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. It looks like a lot of Broad St. is pedestrian only? It’s beautifully done with the flowers in planters along the street. And as best I could see from your quick video scenes a few of the stores and businesses are still operating, even from Morse’s time.
Broad Street is now mostly pedestrianised, which is a good thing.
Thanks, Chris, for your dedication to the Morse World and keeping us all advised and connected over the years! 😽💕
Thank you, Penelope.
Hello Chris,
Thanks for the video, it feels like being there and walking The Broad again
Regards,
Michael
Thank you, Michael.
