Commented Shaun Evans:
“I’ve previously worked with World Productions and ITV separately, so I’m looking forward to joining forces to tell this story. A story that is quite rightly told through the victim’s lens, Delia. We have an excellent script from Nick Stevens and I couldn’t be more delighted to work with Anna.”

Up until a few years ago I was my mum's full time carer. She died in, 2020, of Covid. At the moment I am attempting to write a novel.

  1. Thanks so much for this Chris. And I have never thought about how the outside sounds interfere with the scenes and how they have to be dubbed in later.

  2. It’s wonderful that the cast and crew are still a ‘family’, even with the show ending. I hope Shaun drama takes off because it would be interesting to see. And have you see the behind the scenes photograph on Twitter that Lorna Marie (13 March) The two of them together

  3. Don’t know why but it’s just now hitting me with those photos up top how much Abigail looks like her father 🙂

    1. Exactly! I had the exact same “light bulb on” thought. I also cannot get over how attractive Abigail Thaw is in real life. She was definitely dowdy-upped to play Dorothea Frazil.

Loved the video of Shaun Evans regenerating into John Thaw. The Doctor Who music was a great cherry on the sundae.

  4. How wonderful to wake up today to this marvelous email update and wonderful pictures. Also, how thoughtful because folks like me are not on FB or Twitter anymore. Please keep it up & cheers.

    1. Chris, never forget that many people have “eighty-sixed” twitter and Facebook out of their lives (and many such as myself refused to engage with twitter from the beginning of twitter). Thank you for all your hard work. Let us Yanks know where we can purchase your books in the USA.

      1. My book will be on Amazon. Personally, if it wasn’t for my website I wouldn’t be on either Facebook or Twitter.

  5. Remember that Morse saw a receipt for Joan buying/returning some wedding gloves? That’s how he found out she was engaged. And yet look at this super-1970’s wedding dress, with its wide flaring sleeves (ugh). NO WAY gloves fit into the equation here…

    1. Actually I thought he was under the misapprehension that she was perhaps attending or a bridesmaid and offered to escort her and then she showed him the ring – either way was unsatisfactory for me –

great point re: 1972 wedding dresses (in the style that Joan has) and gloves.

Although given that Sara had only six weeks before given birth I kind of thought they may have gone for a “flowy” style – but maybe that was the style for fashionable 70’s brides…

Thanks for the updates Chris – I have taken myself off Twitter for a while and stopped following the main Endeavour FB page ages ago – it was making my blood boil so this is great to get the good stuff from both.

  6. Anton Lesser is just so cool. I would really love to hang out with him for evening. Just sit at his table and listen to his stories about himself and all the people he has worked with.
