Ten Videos I created For The Morse Festival, Jericho, Oxford: 4th March 2023

Hello everyone and welcome to a new post. Here we have ten videos I created for the Morse Festival.

I was asked to create one about Anton Lesser.

One about Abigail Thaw.

One about the first Morse episode, Dead of Jericho to include Combe Street and the pub The Old Bookbinders.

And two others of my choice. I created an upbeat video and a more melancholic video.

I was also asked to create five videos to fit into intervals during the festival. They are all about 30 seconds long and all include the Morse theme. Sadly, not all the videos were shown at the Festival.

I hope you enjoy.

So up first is the Abigail Thaw video.

Next the one about Dead of Jericho.

Next, the upbeat video.

Next the melancholic video.

  1. So moving. It’s criminal that these were never used at the Oxford Morse Fest. At least we can enjoy them again and again.

  2. Well done Chris – shame they were not all shown but i am sure there was a good reason – timing or the like

  3. Such a great job! At least we can have these to look back on when we are craving the Morse Universe.

  4. Hi Chris,
I haven’t visited your site in awhile , ( so sorry about your Mum) I was surprised to see the new content ! It’s wonderful!
I’m American and travel to Oxford usually every summer ( I’ll be there for my 4th trip in July 1-8 this year) for “The 0xford Experience “ ( google it) held at Christ Church .
I fell in love w the city of Oxford watching Morse & related series on PBS . I then read about this summer program ( “The Oxford Experience “) and my first trip was 2016, the class was “ Murder in Oxford “ discussing Oxford authors including Colin Dexter .
I wondered if you ever do tours in Oxford of film locations & such? I’d love to book one if you offer this .
Just let me know via my private email ?
Thank you so much for your incomparable site about my favorite place in the world.

    1. Hello Alison and welcome back. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, it is much appreciated. Thank you also for your sympathy regarding my mum. I hope you have a wonderful time in Oxford. Sorry, Alison I don’t do tours as I live in another beautiful city, Edinburgh.
