I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

Hello everyone and welcome to a new post. I hope you are all well, mentally as well as physically.

The post includes an article about John Thaw form the British TV guide TV Time from October 1997. The reason for the article is that John was starring in a new series, Into The Blue.

John Thaw plays Harry Barnett a failed businessman who used to run a garage until he went bankrupt. He is now living on the island of Rhodes, looking after the villa of a friend, Alan Dysart, a former government minister. After Heather Mallender, a young woman who is staying at Dysart’s villa, goes missing, Harry is accused of her murder. He is determined to prove that she is still alive and to discover why she has vanished. He returns to England and, armed only with a set of photographs that she took, retraces her steps. In doing so, he gradually uncovers a conspiracy which implicates Dysart in the murder of Heather’s sister.

Up next is a set of press office photographs that I bought from Ebay. A big thank you to those who donate money and to those who are Patrons on Patreon. Not only does the money help to buy items like the above and below but helps maintain my website. If you wish to donate you will find a ‘donate’ button on the front page of the website. If you do not use Paypal you can donate via cheque. Please send a message through my website (there is a ‘contact me’ option at the top of the front page) and I will send you my address. Thank you.

I hope you found this post interesting. I am working on a review of the Endeavour episode, Ride.

  1. Chris, So then John Thaw was filming Into the Blue at the same time as inspector Morse? How ever did he manage that. Really like this post and reading about Thaw’s life. I know he is so versatile with his acting abilities but I will just always think of him as Morse. Thanks.

    1. I believe Kathleen he was also filming Kavanagh QC while filming Morse. I’m glad you liked the post.
