I have started my own Facebook page. It is primarily an extension of this website. I decided to start the Facebook page as there has been times when I have an update to a review post or some interesting news or information but it was all to small to make into a full blown post here on my website. Strangely enough, when I first watched this new video you placed on your website, yesterday Chris, I thought I had seen it before, somewhere else. I have now checked my search history, and in March last year, I must have found this very same clip on YouTube, when I had been watching and listening, to Morse and Lewis, related music. I had almost forgotten, all about that. Anyway, thank you for for showing this little musical video on your website, with the help of Ken Coombs. I suppose it is a little sad, as this was a kind of farewell from Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox, as the Lewis series, was coming to an end. Nevertheless, at least they appeared very happy, as they sang together, and I feel the Lewis series, did bow out on a high. Thanks to you Chris, I learnt that Kevin Whately started his early working life, as a folk singer. I discovered this information, from when you posted on your website, two or three years ago, the audio track, of Kevin Whately’s time on Desert Island Discs, in 1996.
In addition, even though you would know this Chris, but perhaps, for those who do not, I will just mention, that Kevin Whately’s daughter Kitty, is a classically trained opera singer. I remember Kevin once saying, he was a little sad, that his good friend John Thaw, (who was very fond of classical music in real life, just like his Morse character), never saw Kitty grow up, and perform on stage. Thankfully, there was a little bit of comfort, because John Thaw’s widow, Sheila Hancock, has I believe, watched Kevin’s daughter, sing and perform live on stage. Anyway, thank you Chris, and goodbye for now.
