Live Stream of Morse Episode, The Wolvercote Tongue on Twitch, SUNDAY 7th APRIL; 9pm GMT. Watch and Chat.

Hello fellow Morsonians and welcome to another post and announcement.

Firstly, it was great to see a jump in numbers Sunday past who watched and chatted to the episode Service of all the Dead on the social media site, Twitch.

For those not in the know in regard to Twitch, when I write ‘watch and chat’ the chat is via a text window so there is no actual talking over  the episode.

To ‘chat’ (this means to type in the chat window that runs alongside the video) you need to register but that is all rather simple. It’s only a matter of choosing a screen name and entering your email address.

So, over the next weeks I am hoping to live stream all 33 of the Morse episodes on Twitch. Twitch is one of the biggest social media sites in the world which allows people to live stream their various activities.

I am hoping that many of you will be able to join me on Sunday 7th April at 9pm GMT. That is around 1pm Pacific Time and around 5pm Eastern Daylight Time.

I will be live streaming the Morse episode, The Wolvercote Tongue. It will start at 9pm. I hope to see many of you there for a fun time at what has become known as the Sunday Club Morse Night.

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have become Patrons of the site and also a huge thank you to those who have made donations. What do I mean by Patrons?

What is Patreon? Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. It’s a membership platform that provides business tools for creators to run a subscription content service, with ways for artists to build relationships with their subscribers, or “patrons”.

With Patreon you set up how much you wish to pay monthly. There are three tiers, $5, $10 and $15. It’s like paying for a magazine subscription. With enough support I am hoping to create two posts a week.

Patreon primarily uses Paypal which is easy to join and a safe way to send money. https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

I have started my own Facebook page. It is primarily an extension of this website. I decided to start the Facebook page as there has been times when I have an update to a review post or some interesting news or information but it was all to small to make into a full blown post here on my website. So, come and join and keep up-to-date with all that happens in the Morse universe.

  1. Hi Chris,

I have really enjoyed the last two weeks’ live streams but unfortunately I have a dinner engagement this evening that means I won’t be able to join the fun 🙁

I like the Wolvercote Tongue as a dual plot tale and there are some great British actors starring in it. I’ll try and run the twitch session later in the week to enjoy the informative banter.

Wishing you a logarithmic expansion of twitchers this evening and hope it’s a great session. Hope to join you for the next episode (will it be “Last Seen Wearing”?) and thanks for all of your sterling efforts.

    All the best.
    Sarah

    1. That’s a pity Sarah but hopefully I will ‘see’ you in two weeks as I am heading to Oxford for a week so there will be no Twitch live stream next Sunday.

      1. Oh lovely Chris, hope you have a great time in Oxford and yes I will hope to join in again in a couple of weeks. Cheers

  2. It looks like I’ll be there! I’m actually at home, not working on exams (they’re over), and now signed up with Twitch. I’ve got your Twitch page/site up so I’ll be ready to go when you are.

  3. Sorry I dropped out there, Chris. I’m not sure what happened–probably a spill on my keyboard–but the laptop I was Twitching on (for lack of a better term) seems to have died mid-stream. And I do mean DIED, as in, it looks like it will need major keyboard repairs for me to do anything with it. Well, it was fun while it lasted!
