Another Star of the Morse Universe Dies: MICHAEL THOMAS.

Another sad day as I have to announce the death of Michael Thomas who starred in the Morse episode Ghost in the Machine as John McKendrick and also in the Endeavour episode Sway as Rufus Haldane.

His son Edwin posted this on Twitter, “I’m sad to announce my wonderful Dad, the actor Michael Thomas, left us all for his journey North in the early hours of Mon. morning. He was at home, surrounded by love, & after such a fight is surely now sailing the North Sea he loved so much. Am so proud to be his son. Edwin x”

Below is a short video tribute. Michael thank you for being part of the Morse universe. As long as we keep watching you will never be forgotten.

I have also embedded the video below the Youtube version as it might get blocked in the USA.

After having looked after my mum for some 11 years she is now unfortunately in a nursing home. I'm afraid her dementia worsened as did her physical capabilities. So, for the first time in 21 years I find myself no longer caring for anyone. Apart from my mum I was also a single parent to two children and also looked after my dad who had Alzheimers, (he died in 2005). So, I have decided to return to University to try and get another degree this time in English Literature. (My other degree I got some 30 years ago is one in Ecological Science. Firstly I have to complete an intensive year at college which starts at the end of August 2018. If I pass the college year I will then be able to go straight into Edinburgh University. A busy time ahead made even busier by my writing a book on the TV series, Lewis.

  1. Jeepers guys, spelling! Morse would not have approved. Very sad news about Michael Thomas. Thanks for posting Chris, but I couldn’t play either version…it was blocked in the U.S.

    1. Aileen there should be no problem in playing the second version because its embedded in my website so can’t be blocked. It will probably be the settings on your media device being set to not open any media.
