Update about lack of posts during the last two weeks.

Hello everyone. You may or may not have noticed I have not posted during the last two weeks. This lack of posts is due to change of  circumstances in my life.

As many of you will know I have been my mum’s full time carer for almost 12 years. However, due to that situation becoming too much for me mentally and physically and my mum needing more help and care than I could give her she is now in a nursing home. Hope fully, she will be happy there.

I am working slowly through a new post which I hope to post at the weekend.

Thank you.

Chris

Up until a few years ago I was my mum's full time carer. She died in, 2020, of Covid. At the moment I am attempting to write a novel.

  1. Chris – Thank you for creating and maintaining this blog. I’ve only recently subscribed but it truly looks like a labor of love. Sending good thoughts for both you and your Mom during this time of transition.

  2. Take all the time you need, the blog and everything will be here when you come back

  3. Sorry to hear of this big transition in your life, but hoping your Mother will be comfortable in her new setting. Really enjoy all the postings and your work involving the blog.

  4. Although I really like your posts, you should take all the time you need, it shouldn’t be a pressure to update. Hope your mum’s ok and getting the proper care.

  5. Chris, becoming the parent to a parent is one of the hardest things we ever have to do. My heart aches for you, but I also know that this will be a better life for you both. Know that there are many people who care.

  6. I am sure your mum will prosper in her new home. You are very good to have taken care of her for such a long time. Thanks for all of the work you do for us Morse/Endeavour fans!!

  7. I know this hasn’t been easy for you. Take your time. We’ll be waiting for you. Wishing all the best for you and your mum.

  8. This must be such a hard time for you both. Thinking of you, and hope she can be happy there. I know you’ve done the right thing.

  9. Oh Chris, what a terrible thing to have to go through. I can’t imagine how difficult a change this must be for you both, but I hope it makes things easier to cope with. I lost my gran (aged 90) two weeks ago so I am very aware of how much family ties can mean. Take care.

  10. I know exactly how you feel. My mother had Alzheimer’s and was in a thankfully nice nursing home for quite a while. She was happy there. Elizabeth
