I was very sad to read of the death of David Ryall who starred in the Morse Episode, ‘Driven to Distraction’, series 4, episode 3., on December 25, 2014 at the age of 79. He played the character of the driving instructor, Derek Whittaker.
David Ryall was a mainstay of British Television and theatre for many years. Younger audiences will know him better as Elphias Doge in the Harry Potter films. For a full obituray click on the link below.
